Budzowski Jacek PPH STUDIO 153
I have been dealing professionally with artistic ceramics since 1998, when after graduating from the Fine Arts Academy in Wrocław (under supervision of prof. Krystyna Cybinska and prof. Przemysław Lasak) – I moved to Myślenice, my home town, to open a studio together with my wife Ewa (graduated from the Fine Arts College in Nowy Wiśnicz).
What is most characteristic about our products is a number of different materials we are using. Red clays, fire-clay, porcellanite and porcelaine are often mixed with metal, glass or stained glass elements. We kiln our products in temperatures between 900 and 1230 C. using electricity operated ceramic stoves. Sometimes also more traditional technic is used (so called Hungarian stoves running on coal and wood).
We can propose various types of ceramic glazing. Our original cristallic glaze is extremely interesting. This technology can be difficult during production process but the final effect is splendidly decorative. Underglaze and overglaze painting is used very rarely in our artistic process, only in certain cases. One can recognize us from natural, environmental motives. Additionally we decorate glass and ceramics with decalcomania. Most of our works are hand made. Some forms are moulded using plaster casts.
Our works have become part of the National Museum collection in Cracow as well as many private collections both within Poland and abroad. They are often exhibited by different famous galleries, such as
